Sector Los Angeles–Long Beach

Sector Los Angeles–Long Beach supports Coast Guard missions throughout one of the nation’s busiest and most complex maritime regions. Working closely with federal, state, local, and industry partners, the Sector conducts search and rescue, maritime law enforcement, port safety and security, vessel inspections, environmental protection, and aids-to-navigation missions. Its responsibilities include safeguarding the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach while protecting mariners, waterways, commerce, and coastal communities across the region.

Serving the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita and Kern County Areas, Division 4 is committed to promoting Recreational Boating Safety and Public Awareness in support of the United States Coast Guard.

Since 1939, the men and women of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary have volunteered millions of hours in support of the U.S. Coast Guard and the recreational boating public. We are the uniformed civilian volunteer arm of the Coast Guard in Orange County, California.

Division 12 consists of five Flotillas based in Marina del Rey and King Harbor, California. Our primary area of responsibility (AOR) is the Santa Monica Bay, from Palos Verdes to Point Dume.
