Sector San Diego
Sector San Diego serves a broad and varied area that includes the San Diego coastline and extensive inland waterways throughout parts of Southern California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah. Auxiliary members assigned within the Sector’s area support Coast Guard missions through recreational boating safety, patrol operations, marine-event support, public education, vessel safety examinations, communications, and emergency preparedness. The Sector’s inland responsibilities are especially significant because its area includes major portions of the Colorado River and its reservoirs.
